Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) permits province to bring people who are interested in settling in the particular province through immigration process set by each province.
These individuals are selected based on their abilities to contribute to the economic development of that particular province. Each province has its own requirement under the Provincial Nomination Program.
Most of the provinces in Canada have their Provincial Nomination Program (PNP). Each Participating Province signs agreement with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) that permit the province to bring the immigrant who meets requirements set by each province. If you wish to immigrate under Provincial Nomination Program (PNP), you must decide which province you intend to settle. Following provinces currently offering immigration through Provincial Nomination Program (PNP):
You must receive a Provincial Nomination Certificate in order to start your immigration process. After a successful nomination by the province, you have to file a separate application to Citizen and Immigration Canada for Canada Immigration Visa.
The Province of Quebec does not participate in the Provincial Nomination Program (PNP). It has entered into a series of agreements with Government of Canada that permits Province of Quebec to establish its own selection criteria for all economic immigrants who indicate their intention to reside in that Province of Quebec.
