If you intend to immigrate to Toronto, Ottawa or any other city in Ontario, consider the Opportunities Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
Opportunities Ontario helps employers hire the skilled workers they need, but are having difficulty finding, by assisting with the immigration of foreign workers and international students. Through the program, skilled foreign workers and international students may be nominated for permanent resident status in Canada. Opportunities Ontario will target 1,000 nominations in 2009.
